Week 10

Week 10  Jack and Cyprian had gotten on to do post-production and had showed the draft of our video. The video was great and I offered some feedback to their work as well as some sound effects like the texts on the phone were too loud when they popped up and were unnecessary for a music video. Overall we were really happy with what had come of our work even though we ran into a lot of issues along the way

Week 9 - Zsolt Juriga

Week 9 This week we had to get the other half of filming done, now we had our full crew, Myself, Patrick, Cyprian, Jack and Aidan were all present at this filming and we had everything in order. We did have a problem before we all met up however as we'd lost our main female actor for the role this caused some setbacks but luckily I got in contact with Oksana from our class and she'd agreed to help us out which was a massive help for us. We moved from Grand Parade to Soho to film some shots of Oksana and Cyprian talking now Oksanas character had been introduced earlier in the story, from there we went on to film in an alley where our ending would take place, I once again helped Aidan direct most of the shots as well as acting as one of the main characters friends for the video along with Jack, Cyprian, Oksana, and Patrick. After completing this we headed over to the Mardyke Skate park and filmed our last shots.

Week 8 From here we were free to work away receiving feedback every week on what we'd done. My changes to the narrative had us set as well as Patrick storyboards giving us a clear idea of what to do, we'd purchased a skateboard and gone out to film for the first time, we were behind on time a bit but we knew if we got it right here we'd be fine for the work and we could catch up. Myself, Aidan and Cyprian had gone to town to film around South Mall, Aidan managed the camera while I found us locations to film at and directed Aidan on how to capture certain scenes and told him what shots would look good. I also guided Cyprian while he was acting telling him what to do while the camera was rolling. We moved onto an alleyway with graffiti I thought this scenery would make for great shots so we went and got a few really amazing shots that we were all happy with.

Week 7

Week 7 We'd gotten some feedback on our project, a few stood out to me as I was in charge of the narrative that the character I'd come up with, the female in the story was a "Deus ex machine" as in the story the girl comes and helps our main character without introducing her first. This was a great realization and feedback like this is really important to our overall project. I'd decided to change the narrative and consulted with Patrick to adjust the storyboards based on the new changes.

Week 6 - Zsolt Juriga

Week 6 With our presentations finished we decided to work based on what we'd all set out to do, I would further change the narrative My narrative mainly focused on a skateboarder who had a toxic friendship, the main character feels lonely and anxious but addicted to the feeling of being around others unable to tear himself away from a toxic friendship.

Week 5 - Zsolt Juriga

Week 5 We'd all come together and written down our ideas and put them together Patrick had some ideas with a nightclub but myself, Aidan and Cyprian all shared a vision of a skateboarder so we agreed the song sounded similar to what you'd find in skateboard games and such in the early 2000s. Now that we had our idea we'd made sure to sort our roles out, I was in charge of the narrative itself, the lighting and I was    CO-directing along with Aidan among other roles. I would start writing the draft of our narrative together.

Week 4 - Zsolt Juriga

Week 4 Unfortunately the musician I'd been in contact with had changed plans and was too busy with her own work and preferred to work with a group she was more familiar with personally on the song she'd created  this set us back and I'd gotten back to my team and we held a meeting regarding this and discussed that we would ask for feedback on how to move forward. Luckily in class we'd sat down and looked at a few songs available to us and we decided on a song. Official Party line was a great song but I told our group that we should probably sit down at home listen to the song in our own time and write down what we think of the idea individually and then put them all together to see which ideas feel the best for the song.
